Morrisons Supermarket Raises a Smile for Hospices

Help the Hospices is delighted with the enthusiasm that Morrisons colleagues throughout the UK have been putting into fundraising since the beginning of the partnership.

St Mary’s are delighted to be working closely with the Barrow in Furness store. Since the official launch on 19 May 2010 the store has raised £1759.33 for St Mary’s. So many local people have contributed to the Raise a Smile for Hospices campaign and supported St Mary’s through the bucket collections and other activities. Thank you for all your support so far.

The summer fundraising campaign is about celebrating being with friends and family and raising awareness of the support hospices give to friends and families.

The campaign runs from 10 July 2010 and culminates with a bucket collection week from 9 to 15 August when St Mary’s staff will be back at the Barrow store. We look forward to seeing you then.

Good Housekeeping Magazine Seeks Volunteers!

Good Housekeeping magazine are looking for some heart-warming stories for their Christmas issue and would like to speak to women aged 30 plus who will be doing something out of the ordinary, such as volunteering, this Christmas. They are ideally looking for women who perhaps had a difficult time over the festive period last year and so have decided to do something different this year.
