Fire Walkers Needed!

The Rotary Club of Furness Peninsula is organising a Charity Fire walk on 30th September 2011 at Chetwynde School in Barrow in Furness.

They are now recruiting participants to walk across red hot coals for good causes (Charities supported include St Mary’s Hospice, Self Harm Awareness Furness Area, The Alztheimers Society & Help For Heroes)

Why walk on a bed of red hot coals burning at temperatures of over 1200 degrees Fahrenheit? We hear you asking yourself...

As well as raising money for good causes, for many people successfully completing an activity that appears impossible has a real 'wow' factor. Fire walking can serve as a metaphor for achievement in business or in life, stretching the boundaries of your comfort zone, challenging your beliefs, facing your fears, listening to your inner guidance, crossing into a new chapter of your career or life. Many people experience an ‘Aha!’ moment – “If I can do this, what else can I achieve?”
